The Trail to See

Carry heavy thoughts and know the end,
search for words that can help me mend.
I know the way it should come to be,
but I know not yet the trail to see.

There are too many directions ahead,
and then all the ones to where I’ve led.
Run the course and know the reasons why,
unless the knowledge is nothing but a lie.

I create and destroy with a simple mind,
wishing I knew the difference between each kind.
The traffic flows only one way and speed,
for them there is little choice and no need.

Present what is next and forget what was before,
I cannot ask and certainly will not give any more.
